The film maker Ava DuVernay (Twitter@AVAETC ) is not only the first African American woman to win Best Director at Sundance but I dare you not to fall in love with the new star Emayatzy Corinealdi (Twitter @EmayatzyCorinealdi). This is a grass roots word of mouth campaign so if you post on your Twitter , FB, share with your personal lists and BUY A TICKET this weekend, even if you can’t make it to a theatre, then you can help the film’s box office which will mean the film will open in more locations.

Diva’s tenth episode of the season, entitled ‘Lady Parts’ sees Jane take a case close to her heart defending Deb’s Mom Bobbi Dobkins (Sharon Lawrence), when she is sued for pushing a student in her dance class too hard and possibly causing a career ending injury.

The case looks grim when famed dance instructor Abbey Lee Miller (as herself), known for her no nonsense teaching, testifies that Bobbi’s regimen is over-zealous.

Catch ‘Lady Parts’ Sunday August 12 at 9 pm on Lifetime.
